TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Thank you for interest in booking Lakeside 69 or 113 at Butlin’s Minehead. Please read these terms and conditions carefully and note that you agree to abide by these by signing a completed booking form.

Check In/Out

Check in is at 4pm at Butlin’s guest services. Your passes and welcome pack will be issued. Please do not attempt to enter the caravan before 4pm as security may ask you to leave. The caravan should be vacated by 10am on departure day to enable the van to be cleaned before the next guests. Please ensure that you take all your belongings with you and leave the caravan in a clean and tidy condition. All waste food and drink should be removed from the caravan and all electrical appliances switched off.

Damage Deposit

The lead hirer is responsible for all members of the group. A damage deposit of £75 is charged on all family breaks, £125 on adult breaks. This must be received as cleared payment at least 6 weeks prior to your hire date. By booking and agreeing to these terms and conditions, the hirer accepts responsibility for any damage that occurs during their agreed hire dates.  

In the case of damage exceeding the damage deposit amount of £75 for family breaks and £125 for adult breaks, costs to put right any damage will be invoiced to the hirer. If this invoice remains unpaid after 14 days the damage repair costs will be sought via the Small Claims Court. In all instances of major damage the police will be informed and a crime reference number obtained. In all cases of lost keys, sickness/staining on the carpets, bedding etc then the cost of repair/replacement will be billed to the hirer.

A full inventory of caravan contents is taken between each hire and replacement cost of any missing items following your hire will be deducted from your damage deposit. Should you arrive at the caravan and find any damage you must notify us immediately on mineheadcaravan69@outlook.com or you will be held responsible. Any problems arising whilst at the caravan should also be notified while there to enable us to have someone come to the caravan to check. Any claims for compensation will not be honoured if the problem is not notified to us during your break.

Damage deposits will be returned within 5 working days subject to the above conditions and the caravan being left clean, tidy and free from damage on departure which includes but is not limited to removing all belongings, food and rubbish, no washing up left, the oven is clean, all inventory complete and free from damage.

Entertainment passes/wristbands

All entertainment is provided by Bourne Leisure t/a Butlin's.

Wristbands and/or passes are issued in order to enjoy the entertainment and facilities provided.

We advise that you check on Butlin's website regularly to confirm the facilities and entertainment available during your stay in our caravan, as we can not be held responsible for any changes or cancellations made to the entertainment or facilities provided at any time.

Guests

On family breaks we accept guests to the maximum berth of the caravan (8). No more than 6 adults are permitted to stay at one time. As per Butlin’s rules there must be at least 2 over 25’s in the caravan on all adult only breaks. On family breaks Butlin’s do not allow all single sex groups of adults (age 15 years +).

Smoking

SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE CARAVAN OR AT THE DOORS OR WINDOWS. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN YOU BEING ASKED TO LEAVE AND NO REFUND GIVEN.

Pets

Pets are not permitted in the caravan. Anyone found bringing a pet into the caravan will be asked to leave immediately with no refund. If evidence of a dog is found within the caravan by our own in-house cleaning team you will NOT get your deposit returned and extra cleaning charges may be invoiced to you.

Butlin’s operate an open water policy whereby all children must be supervised by an adult at all times around open water and under no circumstances go swimming in lakes, ponds or moats.

We do not supply bedding. For an additional charge, the housekeeping team can be provide bedding and beds made on arrival for up to 6 guests: 1 double bed and 4 single beds. Please do not remove this bedding during your stay unless it is soiled, in which case please inform us. We do not supply bedding or duvets pillows for the pull out sofa bed in the lounge; if you need to use the sofa bed please bring a full set of bedding with you. Please bring your own towels and tea towels.

Payments and Cancellation

All payments are to be made by bank transfer.

When booking your break, a non-refundable deposit of £50 will be charged. This will secure your booking. Your confirmation email will state the date that the balance is due. Should full payment not be made by 6 weeks before the holiday start date, the holiday will be re-advertised and your holiday cancelled. No refund will be given.

The balance of all breaks will be payable 6 weeks before the start of the break. If the break is booked with less than 6 weeks before the start date then the full balance will be payable immediately upon booking. All holidays include a non-refundable £10 Butlins admin fee.

 

The deposit and Butlins admin change is non-refundable.

 

Should you wish to cancel the break once some/all of the balance has been paid, we will refund the holiday cost, minus the deposit and Butlins admin charge using the following scale: 

Longer than 6 weeks – 100% (not including deposit and £10 Butlins admin fee),

Between 6 and 5 weeks - 50% (not including deposit and £10 Butlins admin fee), 

Less than 5 weeks - 0%

Booking Changes

Please note that any amendments to the booking will incur a £35 Butlins admin charge.

Misc

We STRONGLY recommend that you take out private travel insurance for any circumstances that are out of our control. We do not take responsibility for any loss or damage to personal items within the caravan. The caravan should be kept locked at all times when not occupied and during the night. Butlin’s reserve the right to change any advertised entertainment and we cannot take any responsibility for this.
